Frequently asked questions
Are transformations generated on every request?
No. A variant is generated the first time its URL is requested, then cached and served from cache on later requests.
Does Dreep pick the best image format automatically?
No. There is no automatic format option. Set format explicitly, for example format=avif or format=webp, and choose quality between 1 and 100.
How do I know when a video transformation is ready?
Heavy jobs return 202 Accepted while processing. Request the same URL again, and once finished it returns 200 from cache. Dreep does not send webhooks.
What is the largest file I can upload?
500 MB per file. Use the presigned upload flow for large files and for uploads from browsers or mobile apps.
